The Occipital Neuralgia Foundation and Patients Rising partnered to conduct a survey to better understand the unmet needs within the Occipital Neuralgia (ON) community. ON is a distinct type of headache characterized by piercing, throbbing, or electric-shock-like chronic pain in the upper neck, back of the head, and behind the ears, usually on one side of the head. This survey was triggered by a general dissatisfaction with healthcare in the patient community; something they found difficult to define, and likewise, something we found difficult to understand.
